Surprise, surprise!
No more! Since the end of 2004, it’s been one big surprise. Suddenly forecasting wasn’t so easy, or so much fun. But it was no surprise to us. Our annual reports, based on months of careful research and calculation every year, had been forecasting this particular surprise since 1998.
Invest, or quit while you’re ahead?
No one likes a smart arse, a told you so. Everyone can be wise in hindsight. The question is, what will happen next year, and the years after that? Where will the market - or the many different market sectors - go from here? It’s a big question, with a lot of investment, and a lot of careers riding on it.
- Will the market bounce back?
- Which market sectors will grow, and by how much and when?
- Will the sum of the different markets, windows, doors, French doors, sliding patio doors, composite doors, conservatories, new build and home extensions etc make up a healthy and growing total market that is worth investing in for the next ten years, or not?
- Is now the time to invest, or quit while you have the chance?
Follow the money! But, where is the smart money?
Challenged to do even more research and trend analysis to calculate the effects of the many different trends on the future of these markets Rigby Research has brought out this new forecasts report. The aim is to help business owners, directors and managers decide whether to invest or quit, and if invest where to put their money and when.
No one can actually see the future, but most of the future was written some time ago, and much is being written now. There will always be true surprises – rarely occurring but huge natural disasters and global catastrophes – but these are not usually what catch us out. We get wrong footed by existing trends that are already underway. The problem is we can not see them clearly enough, or choose not to see them, or disentangle the effects of many different trends to calculate clearly what is likely to happen. Well now you can.
There’s no excuse for heading in the wrong direction now!
The result of 18 months informed research and analysis has been concentrated into 45 packed pages of analysis, detailed tables and charts of forecasts that will help you decide the future course of your business with confidence.
Is the future grim or rosy? You’ll have to order your copy of the report to answer that for your particular market. As ever, it’s all in the timing, and being in the right market at the right time. Maybe you take a more optimistic, or a more cautious view of certain trends and events than we have? With this detailed information and analysis you can modify the forecasts to put more weight behind your own views. But, now they will be better founded.
Window systems company, raw material supplier, window fabricator, conservatory roofing company or door manufacturer, hardware manufacturer, glass or sealed unit manufacturer, ancillary, software or machinery supplier we all need to know.
